The University of Georgia’s Division of Marketing and Communications (MarComm) recently announced the upgrade of UGA’s logo system to a registered trademark. As a result, all UGA CAES logos have been updated from the trademark symbol (™) to the registered trademark symbol (®). The new official logos are available for download via the CAES Intranet’s logo pages.

Make sure to update the following places:

Your CAES or Extension website

Most of the work has been done for you. The logos in standard footers and headers have been updated. However, if you have uploaded a logo to the main content area of any of your site’s pages, you must update it to the new version.

Social media sites under your control

Please update any logos you have linked from there. Please also update your CAES social media icon or UGA Extension social media icon to the appropriate UGA brand icon.

All new printed collateral, branded materials, and promotional items

Existing inventory may be used until it is gone. New materials must use the new registered trademark logos. Use of the previous trademark versions (™) is legally prohibited on all new materials as of 2023.

As a reminder, all academic, administrative, and support units of the University of Georgia are required to use the University of Georgia’s visual identity system for all official internal and external communications and promotions. You can review those guidelines and find reference resources on the CAES Intranet!

If you have any questions or would like help, please reach out to the CAES Web Team at caesweb@uga.edu.
