The CAES Web Team will update the look of the main CAES website and the CAES Student website on Friday, Aug. 3. Our WordPress and UGA Extension websites will not be affected, but if you manage a section of a CAES website in AEM, this post is for you.

For the two weeks prior to the update (July 18-Aug. 3), content managers will not have access to AEM. And while the updates that will be made to our sites are not nearly as complex as when we moved from Contribute to Adobe Experience Manager in 2015, there are some steps that you should complete prior to the July 18 deadline to ensure the site update process goes as smoothly as possible.

  • Review your site. Make sure your content is up to date!
  • Review your asset folders. Purge assets that are not being used. (Email Melissa Gay if you need a refresher.)
  • Let us know if you are no longer a content manager.

After our updates, you’ll log in, edit and access content in AEM the same as you do now. The Web Team will provide a series of videos on our new components as well as a refresher on how to edit pages. Melissa will also be happy to conduct individual trainings on an as-needed/requested basis after the template is rolled out.

Let us know if you have any questions at caesweb@uga.edu.
