Qualtrics is a survey tool that allows you to collect information from people and then analyze the information you collect. Those with imagination might envision lots of common tasks that could be made simpler with such a tool.

Some examples:

  • Event registration forms with meal choices and room preferences
  • Demographics surveys
  • Feedback forms for your website
  • Course evaluations
  • Committee decision-making

Sound interesting? Here’s how you can get started.

Account setup and login

Our CAES OIT Service Desk will help you create your account. It’s free for all UGA employees.

Request a Qualtrics Account

Once your account has been created, log in to Qualtrics at ugeorgia.qualtrics.com. NOTE: Your account will not be tied to your MyID. You’ll use a separate username and password to log in.

Support and training

Self-paced guidance

Neither UGA nor CAES IT groups offer direct training and support on the Qualtrics product. For the internet savvy, the best way to learn Qualtrics is to simply create an account and start playing around. But their help documents are also decent once you’ve mastered a bit of their jargon.

Here are Qualtrics How-To pages for the most common questions:

For an overview of the whole product, start with the Qualtrics “platform overview.” Take a minute to read the menu on the left hand side. Let that menu be your guide.

Notice that there are sections of the menu for each tab that you’ll see inside of Qualtrics. Focus first on the following sections.

  1. Survey Tab – Where you’ll add your survey questions.
  2. Distributions Tab – Where you’ll decide how to send out your survey.
  3. Results Tab – Where you’ll find survey responses

There are also some video tutorials, but as of this writing they seem difficult to navigate.
