Searching the AEM Manual for Help

Please note: The printed AEM User Manual that was given out to content managers during our 2016 AEM trainings occasionally undergoes changes.  The PDF version of the manual that is available online is kept current; we encourage you to use that version.

There are two ways to search the AEM User Manual. You can either search using your web browser, or you can search using Adobe Reader. We’ll describe both ways.

If the manual opens in your browser

  • Hold your Ctrl key down and tap the F key (Ctrl+F shortcut combo) to open the ‘Find’ function.
  • A search box will open at the bottom of your screen. Type in a broad term to search for like  document or link.

  • If the term is found in the PDF file, it will be highlighted.
  • Click the down arrow in the search box to go to the next occurrence of the word. Continue until you find what you need.

  • If the search doesn’t return any results, change your search term and try again.

If the manual opens in Adobe Reader

  • Click Edit, Find (or use Ctrl+F) from the top menu. Add your search term in the search box on the upper right of the screen.

  • Click the little right arrow in the search box to open the next occurrence of the term. Continue until you find your results.

  • If the search doesn’t return any results, change your search term and try again.

If no search term you use returns the answer you need, then please email caesweb@uga.edu for additional help. Be sure to include your county name, as well as provide as much information about the issue as you can in your email. If you are working on a specific page in your website, please include a link to that page.
