CAES discontinues use of Malwarebytes, adopts Trend Micro for endpoint protection.

EITS has encouraged CAES to adopt Trend Micro OfficeScan as its default endpoint protection tool for guarding desktop and laptop devices from viruses, malware, ransomware, etc. CAES has had great success with the Malwarebytes product and the organization has seen a significant decline in infected and compromised machines through its use. The Trend Micro product, too, is a well-respected product and is also a leader in the endpoint protection market. OIT is hopeful that the transition to Trend Micro OfficeScan will allow us to maintain (if not improve) our level of protection while moving into alignment with other UGA units.

As a result of this change, Malwarebytes licenses were allowed to expire on November 10, 2018. If you have Malwarebytes installed on your computer, please reach out to your local IT contact or the CAES IT Support Desk for assistance in transitioning you to Trend Micro OfficeScan.
